Elizabeth "Liz" (Stallings) Stock

Elizabeth “Liz” Stock, age 70, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from her earthly home in Greencastle, PA.

She was the loving daughter of the late Edgar W. Stallings and Gladys Logsdon Stallings.

Elizabeth was born July 22, 1946 in Cumberland, MD. She is survived by her husband of 46 years John Stock of Greencastle; two sons, Andrew Stock and wife April of Portland, Oregon and Nicholas Stock and wife Cassandra of Middletown, MD; one grandson Asher Stock of Middletown, MD; one sister Marsha Stallings of Saltsburg, PA; one brother Elliott Stallings and wife Dee of Ellerslie, MD; sister-in-law Betsy Smith and husband Ray of Fairfax, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Hyndman Pennsylvania High School and a 1968 graduate of Clarion University of Clarion, PA. She retired from the Washington County Maryland Board of Education as a school librarian. Elizabeth attended Grace Bible Church of Greencastle and was devoted to the missionary work of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Bible Church 2327 Hoffman Rd. Greencastle, PA with Pastors Herman Fisler and David Mummert officiating. Burial will be in the Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery near Hyndman, PA. There will no public viewing, but the family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission Aviation Fellowship, P.O.
