Arthur George Kline, age 91 of Greencastle, PA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday afternoon, December 2, 2016 at the Quincy Nursing Home in Quincy, PA.

Born March 29, 1925 in Irwin, PA, he was the son of the late William J. and Sarah E. (Gipson) Kline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Lawrence and William Kline.

He graduated from Irwin High School and was a World War II veteran having served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater.

Arthur retired in 1987 from Mack Truck, Hagerstown, MD where he worked as a machinist for 27 years. He was a post member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post # 6319 and the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373, both of Greencastle.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen (Hanczak) Kline, two sons, George A. (wife Linda) Kline and Gene S. Kline, all of Greencastle, one daughter, Sheryl A. (Husband Ron) Gentile of State Line, PA, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

There will be a private funeral service at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home in Greencastle. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. There will be no public viewing. The family would like to thank Quincy Nursing Home, Waynesboro Hospital, Heartland Hospice of Chambersburg and Helpmates Home Healthcare of Huntingdon for all their kind and compassionate care.
